She's a fecking cat, not a dog, and despite annoying the shit out of me at times, she is a proper character and i think she's going to really make the grade. Either that, or you wil have the cleanest rabbits about 1 Quote Link to post

Ideation 8,216
Johnny - Aye mate, blood blisters and bruises for 3.5 fecking foot! That was horrible! Jamie - what are frosty mornings? Are they like unicorns and fairys??? 1 Quote Link to post
Tiercel 6,986
Skycat - i will ferret anywhere the bunnys are, no matter how tough it is I genuinly enjoy getting stung to feck and diving through brambles and thorns if i'm catching rabbits. Very Churchillian Jai, maybe you could come West at some point over the season towards the end of it and put that theory to the test! It'd be easier trying to ferret in the Bornean rainforests than some of the rabbit holding spots round here! Too right Mal, I could help out with some nice Pembs hedges. 15 ft wide and solid blackthorn. TC 3 Quote Link to post
BS40liam 203
Thedges are similar to what I've got around my way seing them makes me want to get out again! Might skip the wiltshire game fair and go ferreting instead! Quote Link to post
NEWKID 27,402
Good write up and pics lads... That's a proper hedge for sure, most of our permission is big solid hedges, I can only dream of open buries lol..... Nothing like numb hands for the following week and picking out thorns for days lol........ Brons come on well Johnny really like the look of her.... Do you net all the holes or put nets in the runs through the top of the hedge? Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
Pair of wax trousers, decent jacket, and i'm ready to leap straight in. To be honest, the worst part for me is that my long, flowing locks, get snagged all of the time and i either lose chunks of hair, or aquire various bits of bramble etc, stuck in it It's a right b*****d! Newkid - we get in there and net every hole we can, and usually we get them all, you can always stomp and kick, crawl and push your way in, if you try. The nets only need to slow the rabbit enough for the dog or us to scoop them up Although on occaison i have also stuck nets on really well used runs as an extra, but to be fair, if it gets out of the nets, the dogs deserve the sport, they work hard enough.
