Porks fine, it`s just that most of it is salted so is bad for them.

Personally, if it smells bad I don`t give it, but if it`s not tooo bad they get it no probs,, They certainly get meat that the missus has decided has been in the fridge too long ! lol waste not want not eh ?

If the meat smells bad then don't feed it. Wild animals eat rotten meat if they can't catch their own dinner, so they too also run the risk of poisoning, but they don't understand rotten meat is as likely to kill them as having/being incapable of having prey to catch. Rotting meat is no good for domesticated animals. Atb.

i have fed and will feed pork to the stinkers its salt content in pork that you have to be carefull of. i have taken in a few ferts over the years and was told years ago to get some weight on them its a good idea to give them a bit of belly pork with its high fat content. in all the time ive given it to them ive had no probs just dont go giving them salted pork or bacon and the like.

Pork is fine....

the reason for people saying No Pork are several.... old ways of keeping pork meant it went off quick so most of it was preserved which would be no good for them ... no salt! ie.. no bacon, Sausage, gammon, ham... The other reason for NOW adays people saying no pork is that some is bulked up with saline ( broth) ... injected into it... but then most meat .. ie chicken and beef ...in the supermarket is.. so if you're happy to feed chicken or any other supermarket meat.. you should have no problem with pork from the supermarket either
