stroller 341
Out clearing a farm using the ferrets and shotguns. Flash my best ferret (Its always the best one) was shot whilst underground at a depth of 8 inches from the surface, a rabbit bolted and was shot the shot carried on through the turf into a tunnel below which sods law flash was in. She had a pellet in her head bless her so i beleive it was quick, we found her using the locator. Very upsetting for myself and my lad, it was a huge old warren with a fair few rabbits in it so the sport was fast and furious but even so we were careless and so paid the price. If your ferrets are used to bolt rabbits to guns take care and save yourself a bit of heartache. Fortunately i have kept 3 of her litter back so fingers crossed they are as good as their mother was. AirgunGuy 362
sorry to hear this It does take it out you mate. I got my 1st ferrets in years this year and my mad Weimaraner managed to get out when i was feeding them and she nailed it. I just heard the squeel and within seconds it was dead. f****n c...t, i could've shot her. Not her fault though...it's just the way she is. It almost brought a tear to my eye as she was only young and had a great wee character. I know how you feel big man Quote Link to post
Guest cookiemonsterandmerlin
How unlucky was that I gave up shooting over ferrets years ago due to enjoying netting and running dogs was may love IMHO and not a critcal of yourself I think for a number of reason shotguns ferrets and the nature of the sport is very dangerous to man and beast. I shudder watch you tude clips of ferrets dogs and people and guns being used Very sad and keep enjoying your sport and be safe ATB Cookie Quote Link to post
