BOLSTER 808
Never owned a lakey but i will comment on one if someone add's a picture to the topic, of what i class as a ''Lakeland terrier'' !! Quote Link to post
dogs-n-natives 1,182
Theres some nice books out at present Tam, of which you may know, regarding the Lakeland fell packs... loads of great pics in them. In certain kennels old strains live on, and similar types are found today working the rocks and earths. i enjoy reading up about the old days, if only we could all go back a hundred years!! All the best 1 Quote Link to post
dogs-n-natives 1,182
Got a slight gripe about your topic's title though (not a jab at you)... ''what a lakeland should look like'' As that implies looks mean something..the lakeland terriermen I know personally wont consider looks, but do consider size, coat, and obviously ability first and foremost. The ammount of different looking terriers in their kennels shows that typey lookers are not the order of the day. Some of them tiny wee things, others with heads like aligators... what they look like today matters not. What they work like, matters a lot. 12 Quote Link to post
