Guest cookiemonsterandmerlin
When I fiirst start 25 years ago we had very few badger sets now we have entire sections that are unferretable due to the old brock and coneys mixed. ATB Cookie Quote Link to post
Tug 168
Got a few massive warrens that we have to steer clear of because of brock, we have to just stick to picking the bunnies off with the rifle when we get the chance. Quote Link to post

What you got to realize is that paulus thinks the wombles are real They are. I live a couple of miles from Wimbledon Common and I've seen them many times. Last time I came out of a pub near the common after a few beers, I saw loads of them. True story. Quote Link to post

Malt 379
When I first got back into ferreting 5 or 6 years back the first places I went to were the old places where I used to ferret with my old man, and he used to ferret as a youngster. Decent open buries in woodland. Most of them had been taken over by brock and the rabbits have retreated to buries in thick stuff.. Quote Link to post
Rake aboot 4,936
Yup Seeing more and more, they are a proper pain in the hoop. Quote Link to post
Tyla 3,179
Same here, on one particular permission there are very few places left where you can risk a ferret now. Its a real nuisance not just with regards to ferreting, the farm is a sheep farm and has seen considerable increase in lamb predation pretty much in line with the badger population explosion. They are nice animals to see around but in some places the population is getting ridiculous. Quote Link to post
