nets without two steel rings

Hi . Was wondering if any one has used purse nets without two steel rings . By that i mean the bottom of the net is just like a knot only a steel ring at the top . . . Wat are your views n opinons on these will try and get a picture up if no one understands . . atb

i use them for myself all the time. i find it balances the net better than the two rings and was taught this by my old uncle who was a gamekeeper. he said that it was because of the war effort and they has to make the rings go alot further in them days . it also helps with the tangling. they seem to not get caught up as easy as the ones with two rings.

ive got one or two somewhere with no rings at all that i made years ago after being given a simular one by an old boy down the local. the net is started by knitting straight onto the draw cord then the bottom is finished onto the centre a dog bone shaped piece of leather with a hole each side for the draw cord to pass through if that makes any sense

Ive used them in the past, many years ago,, and theres a Bloke who's still useing these type of nets down south in Hampshire... Nowt wrong with them I may add but I do like a Good quality Ring at both Ends.. I like a Prittey lookin Net ...

Aye ive a couple of old nets like that and some the sliders are made out of bone one with a old wooden ruler , think it dates back to the war when supply's where hard to come by ?.

Never seen a net without 2 rings before. I like to stick the bottom ring in the ground inside the hole so I think Ill stick with them.

Ive got 20 plus spun poly with only one ring and they seem pretty good only missed one rabbit just wondered wat people thought . I no some people say it adds weight to the bottom so they bag better when they have two rings . . .
