Jumpin'Jack 68
Bearinator from here took us ferreting today on his permission. Only got one rabbit but still had a good day out Rabbit got caught up in the net and Jack picked it up and held it for us till Bear broke its neck Jack hasnt been ferreting much so he did quite well and didn't eat the ferret  I took it home and skinned and gutted it (first time I had done this). My step bro chopped the head off and then threw up  Had a good day and can't wait to go out lamping now Got some pics on my phone so quality is crap And one of Jack and the rabbit before butchering it 1 Quote Link to post

BEARINATOR 2,867
Glad you enjoyed the day but it was a shame most of the good setts were in the thick cover , next time we go ferreting bring your camera with you although I had my compact but didn't take any pics Quote Link to post
broonball 38
best get used to skinnin and guttin lad, the joys of hunting, had four hares and a rabbit to do the other night aaawfull at midnight when all you want to do is hit the hay i tend to gut em out in the field, less weight to carry home and less stink in the bin. theres a vid on youtube shows you how to gut em without a knife and a quick way to skin and prepare them, iv spent years gettin me mitts mucky for no reason. atb Quote Link to post
broonball 38
just to add before anyone jumps on it the hares were shot! Quote Link to post

Chid 6,493
You can squeeze the insides out without making any cuts it all comes out it's arse hole , I was shown how to do it but could never master it with having small hands and shit grip strengh Quote Link to post
broonball 38
sorry about that . i meant the way chid explained and he is right it does take a bit of brute strength. anything from a 3 quarter grown and smaller should be easy enough for little hands. the old bucks are the worst, like poppin a football wi your bare hands. the best thing about this method is once you get the knack you can do it in the dark whilst lamping and you end up carrying half the weight. beware of the poo strings tho Quote Link to post
