Trev1234 3
Hi I stalk in Ireland a few times each year you need to get a hunting licence which is free you will need someone from Ireland with land to fill there bit in when you get it his back. You then need to send it for a firearms licence which is €40 this all takes about 6/8 weeks and you can't apply for this till August and the start of the season is the first of September . If you want any more info send me a pm I have a lot of contacts over there reds Sika goats fallow . Cheers trev Quote Link to post
kevmag 10
Not sure about ireland but in n.ireland its much easier to get a large rifle with a dsc1, and for shooting you can join a gun club or get permission from a land owner. Quote Link to post
jf1970 328
first you will have to get written permission from 2 land owners giving permission to shoot on their land that holds deer, this will then have to be sent, along with an application form for a deer hunting license, to the National Parks and Wildlife Dept (free), if you then receive license, you will then have to apply to your local Garda station (police) for a firearms license, there is no set time for a license to be issued, but they have to notify you within 3 months to tell you that your application is being processed, if you are successful, you will then receive a letter in the post that you will then take to your local post office, upon payment of 80euros your license will then be issued to you within a few days. 1 Quote Link to post
