I have a very very old dog in. He is about 110yrs , ok slight exageration.....he's about 16yrs, maybe older.

He still gets about a bit and has just learnt how to walk up the celler stairs,(My celler leads into garden). He is a bit wobbly. some days worse than others,he at times bombs it up the garden with the pup, who he loves to play with. But he has now started to pee in his sleep. I have some propalin in and wonderd if that is any good for male dogs??

Here he is, the poor f****r, with swifty the tart flirting with him.

I sympathise with you LB i had an old lurcher boy until he was 15/16 - he was a retired guard dog (soft as anything). He started to pee in his sleep and eventually he would just pee anywhere whilst walking around the house. In the end i had to think of his dignity as you could tell he was embrassed - also my daughter was 3 at the time so i went to vets and he agreed it was time ....... i am not saying give up - just as long as he is still happy!!

Good luck with him x

Yep!! I know the time is very close, But it's hard, dignity was one of the main things, once that has gone, then I agree, its time  .

I wont prolong it...... for lofty's sake, i couldnt.

thank you for you advice.x
