weasle 1,119
I used to use filters with the lazer and blazerlites,They were handy the way you just flipped them on and of the beam. But never used the one i have for the striker its a complete pain in the ass noisey to take of,hard to get on in the dark. Bosun11 537
The Cluelight filters were very good, I liked the one that would spin rather than the hinged, ideal for good rabbity spots. As for the lightforce filters, cut two lugs off, heat one and bend it up and out, add some insulation tape (one layer) around the end of your lamp and you will get a snug fitting, silent filter with a easy off 'handle'. asha 48
bosun 11 been thinking of a way to hinge the light force filters any info would be helpful Quote Link to post
scottish hare hunter 2,345
I WAS THINKING OF CUTTING 2 LUGS OFF AND THE ONE THAT IS LEFT USE STRONG GLUE AND PUT A SMALL HING ONTO FILTER CUT A SMALL PIECE OF THE LUG THATS BEEN CUT OFF AND GLUE THIS WHERE THE HINGE WILL ATTACH TO THE LAMP AFTER IT IS STUCK DOWN GLUE THE HINGE TO IT FOR A GOOD FIT Quote Link to post
Bosun11 537
Weasle, it's held on with the fit over the rim of the lamp itself, no need for the lugs. In most its a good snug fit, though that plastic on plastic does still make that clatter noise when attaching, so add insulation tape either round the rim of the lamp or the filter, only one strip round though, or it'll be too tight and you'll find the noise will stop and the fit is snugger too. On the lug you heat and bend as a handle, you can always add a hole and string it to the lamp at the handle so as you dont loose it, though i don't bother. I'll put some pics up later. Asha, of that i've no idea, I can be a bit cack handed with fiddly jobs like that and after all that work i'd probably end up breaking it in the field anyway..! Quote Link to post
