nighteyes 275 Posted September 13, 2012 Report Share Posted September 13, 2012 why do some people think a filter is just to dim the lamp,for lamp shy rabbits, to keep a low profile,etc,etc, they are a big help to the dog for picking out a rabbits eye when sending the dog out to a tight squatter in stubble, longish grass,winter rape, imo Quote Link to post

kranky 507 Posted September 14, 2012 Report Share Posted September 14, 2012 I use a red filter to spot and then flip it up and use the white to slip the dog. I find that, while the dog will run on the red light, he picks up better with the white. When shooting, foxes are less wary of the red filter. Quote Link to post
