tote 854
I was out last night, the 1st night fishing i've done this season. Started at midnight[no fishing up here on a sunday] I went down to Dalscone on the DGAA beat, only fished the first 40 yards as there is no carry further down. Anyway 2nd time down I got an offer which stuck,it resulted in a 2lber which was photographed and returned. There were no other offers and not a fish broke the surface. The fly was one I'd knocked up a couple of years ago and never used, hook size 4. Quote Link to post
Yokel Matt 918
Nice fish... comendable willpower on returning it (i would have gastronomic plans for it as soon as it was in the net  ) I've never really got on with tying flies... i use to chew my finger nails and found it feckin fraustrating I envy your dexterity and patience... must have been a good feeling bringing one in on your own hand tied Quote Link to post

It's a great feeling catching a fish on a fly you've tied yourself I'm not the tidiest fly tier in the world by a long way,but the fish dont seem to care Quote Link to post

There were a few salmon caught in April/may as is the case most years,I'd guess between 10-20.In June it tends to go quiet salmon wise untill the grilse start to run. It is shaping up to be another very poor season for the sea trout sadly. Quote Link to post
