paulus 26 Posted September 15, 2012 Report Share Posted September 15, 2012 Well I'm pretty sure it is might be worth looking into but my boss said it was illegal he don't keep any on footpaths near him I'd think it works on the same way as having a dangerous dog your liable for damages the same as if the cattle are dangerous all animals are covered differently in law, cats,dogs.horses,cows all have different laws associating to them, there is no dangerous cows act 2 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

unicornleather 60 Posted September 15, 2012 Report Share Posted September 15, 2012 I find in general beef breeds to be more docile than dairy, all cows though can have the potential to be dangerous if they have young at foot, it's their natural instinct. We had head of dairy cattle on the farm I lived on for a while, evil sods one minute, dopey the next, very unpredictable! It's common sense not to walk through them with dogs I would have thought, cattle don't know there's a footpath through a field or that they should not challenge dogs/humans on their patch. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
