lamps, good ones and bad ones?

Im going to the west midlands game fair this weekend and im wondering what lamps some people would reccomend and lamps that people would avoid, the lamp has to be scope mounted for a 30mm tube, does anyone have any good reccomendations.

Well I've got a clulite .mg125. Good little scope mounted torch very bright. Will fit 30mm scope. And ledlenser p7 very good.

 

But I'd class them as a torch. But I go lamping with clulite does the job for me. Hope this helps. Atb

I used to have a tracer max. great lamp. now have a tracer mini and can still see rabbits at further ranges than im going to be shooting my air rifle.

Also had a clulite (cb1/2???) with the handle for dogs or scope mounted instead.the on/off switch was suited better for use with the handheld option but could still be used quite easily on a scopemount

 

edit not sure about the 30mm scope bit with these lamps.

Lamps have come on loads since the development of LED's. Something small, compact, 150 - 200+ lumens, thats adjustable & cost friendly isnt a problem anymore. I'm mega impressed with the LED Lenser P7 Gun mount kit. £56.00ish on ebay chap. i've actually got 2 of em, one for mine & one the lads rifle. it depends what your specific requirements are? Huge permissions? Long lamping sessions? Cost? rechargeable etc.

 

I'd just avoid anything with a huge battery pack that weighs lots. they just arent necessary anymore.
