Millet 4,497
I have read some where that they are around 6 million candle power and use a hell of a lot less power that the standard 100/75watt bulb's..they also give a white blue light out that is really clear.. reddawn 2,173
aint all that, not a great diffrence in the beam, but the battery life does last a lot longer, but for that price id expect a battery as well ffs i got ample battery for my normal lamp, so fook em they can keep this, if ye ask me its just a way to get more money off all the lamp lads, cheeky fookers 2 Quote Link to post
jjbull 38
bit of info in this thread http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/260095-the-new-hid-lamps/ Quote Link to post
Millet 4,497
I missed that thread Mate..here is some more info i have been reading..the reason i am interested is i use a LED lenser P14 when out mooching about to look for stuff and when i spot the eye's i switch to the lightforce with a 75watt bulb in it..the quality of light from the small torch is far superior to the light force but you don't get the distance needed from the torch..i have caught bunnies just using the torch..but i could imagine the beam on these new lamp's being something else.. http://www.scottcountry.co.uk/products-Lightforce-Handheld-170-Xenon-HID-Lights-4925.htm Quote Link to post

Millet 4,497
I don't think i will be getting one but if i ever did it would be on land that i was allowed on.. ..the price of my 22amp lithion battery and one of them lamp's would be pretty expensive to fling in a hedge if i ever got chased.. 1 Quote Link to post

HBG 350
aint seen the 170 but my local gun shop owner gave me a HID blitz to try next to my normal blitz, deffo a whiter beam obviously no difference in length of beam as its the lamp reflector that sends the beam, deffo whiter beam but its to expensive for me just for that. redcharge 378
Thank f**k a mate bought one before I did theres no way it warrants its price tag the only difference to the usual lightforce is the colour of the beam and it uses 1/3 less battery, nothing to write home about. 2 Quote Link to post
