ArchieHood 3,692
That included requesting not to play on the anniversary of the tragedy, the FA weren't held to ransom over this but believe it or not agreed to it to keep the fight for justice in the public eye. It wasn't so long ago after the draw for the FA Cup semi final comments were made that they should "dry their eyes and move on", I think after today's findings most footballing folk would agree that there cause was worth fighting. Stone me son your scarey !!.....i dont know you from adam yet you remember word for word something i said f**k knows how long ago.....do you have stalker like tendancies or just a photographic memory.............my " dry their eyes " comment was as regards the football club not the victims of a disaster......if everything came to a stop on anniversaries of tragedies the world would stand still.................................thats nothing to do with people fighting for truth and justice It was 153 days ago to be precise Gnash (if I may call you Gnash) , I fully agree with your comments even to the point where I may "follow" you from time to time but that's out of a knowledgeable respect rather than anything untoward. My comments were intended to highlight the fact that it wasn't a case of just moving on and forget about it but to fight against a huge miscarriage of justice. I apologise mate i thought you was getting at me ...........too used to folk hurling shit at me i got on the defensive im sorry chief i dont disrespect folk until theres reason to and i jumped the gun on this occasion. I just dont get why or how the club not playing a match on the anniversary of the tragedy all these years on makes any difference to the victims.........that was my only point at the time............but anyway i probably didnt phrase it with too much class so my bad again.

lanesra 3,994
How have these people slept for 23yrs knowing the injustice that had/was happening beats me , lets now see if after 23yrs they look into who can stand up and be counted in a court off law ..... and remember Ronnie Biggs has been held up for his crimes after yrs away even though when brought back an old and frail man , in fact i think he is still locked up , though we will see how this unfolds and if Justice is giving to the Families off these people who tragically died . gonetoearth 5,144
164 statements were changed. By police and the advisers. 46 people could have survived if the right medical Equipment would have been allowed on the pitch , the ex chief inspector or the south Yorkshire. Police. Got payed a a salary. To command. He was in command that day his inspector on site duckenfield. And him. Should now be charged with criminal negligence leading to a manslauter charge , Graham Kelly , The FA , The stadium safety officer, the chairman , every police officer that was on duty and changed their statement , every police officer that stood by and watched while Liverpool fans ripped down advertising hoardings to use as stretches should all so be charged with criminal negligence , 23 years they have slept in there beds knowing they have blood on their hands , Every copper in this country should hang their heads in shame. As your brothers in south yorkshire 23 year ago devalued your uniform and the respect it once had yesterday we found out the truth. Your no better than the people you lock up lying dirty scum
gnasher16 30,121
I see The Sun bottled it today.....anything other than " sorry " on the front page in big bold letters was always going to be a cop out ! Id be interested to know what the victims families would actually see as justice........after all said and done those coppers, ambulance staff etc on the ground were all doing what they were told by corrupt authorities higher up..........I think this case has showed the best and worst of our societies, its just strange the way the best of society was the " scummy football mob ".....and the worst of society was the so called " keepers of law and order "........football fans and families of football fans were treated like shit by those there to protect them..........id trust a down and out regular bloke off the street before id trust any of them top brass suited plod.....some folks integrity just cant be bought yet most of those top brass who by the very nature of their job should have those qualities would sell there granny for a rasher of bacon if their arse was on the line........ive seen bent coppers and corruption with my own eyes but nothing like on this scale this has to go down as the biggest case of police corruption in British criminal history surely the magnitude of it is almost unbelievable.
gonetoearth 5,144
Gnash this has opened up old wounds all though On a match day we hate each other we live work and drink together , we were all young lads that day , met out side the same pub boarded mini buses and cars. And set of up the same motorway. Parting at the m6 junction all slagging each other etc be leave me the trip back was very very different , I've seen the best of human sprit in football and seen the worst , football fans have been treated like second class citizens all my life and still are scorned upon yes there are elements as you and iwell know , but as humans we beleave in law and order and the powers that be and that are safety. Is being taken care of We at are age have experienced a crowd swaying in the match that sudden surge then get crushed then the relief as the crowd finds its level and normality returns till the next shot on goal, the police at away game waiting at train stations to gather us up and march us to the ground or getting the ordinary onfri night then getting rounded up on the sat etc , this was differant gnash from the day they chose. Hillborugh and put the reds in the leap pings lane end the smaller and furthest away end from the motorway a ground that a couple of years before had just averted a tradergy , the FA knew it was not up to it the local fire brigade Are on record saying it they made improvements HOW by putting Steel pens in as dividers cattle pens for want of a better description , semi final day Liverpool v forest used to big occasions well traveled fans who know nealy very stadium in the country the police the ground and the FA soon realised the wrong fans were in the wrong end there was no fighting as forest fans past through Liverpool fans on route to opersate ends the cameras in the controll room showed fans queuing big ques in a street the turnstiles could not cope delay the game no duckenfield opened the gate and let in a surge the rest is history , the powers that be closed ranks and manipulated a cover up from the top to the bottom yeh there might have been good coppers that day and yes a few jump in and helped but watch the video and see just how many stand there arms folded while men women and kids break down hoardings. To carry people to safety South Yorkshire. Police. The Same force already found guilty. Over falsifying statement s over the miners strike , then put an off duty inspector who was there at the match in charge of an inquiry in to the ground safety NORMAN BETTERSON who was latter to get the job of merseyside chief con were five. Of the members of the interviewing panel resigned when they read his application answering the qestion your worst day in policing FALLING DOWN A GRID WHILE ON DUTY He was at hillsbough They went the match not to war . There are still many untold stories and damming statements that will arise as this unfolds funny how the tables are turning Just watch how many rats jump ship I think there will be quite a few !!!!!
Guest bezza
The chief constable of Yorkshire said today that he still believes the fans contributed to the tragedy. Unbelievable. As long as the police investigate themselves, cases of police corruption will continue. They must learn that in order to police by consent they must get rid of bad apples. Otherwise resentment will build. I am not trying to be smart after the event, but my team is Man Utd and when they introduced fencing to contain fans I vowed I would not attend any more matches as I did not want to be caged like an animal. .Where were the health and safety officials when the clubs decided to introduce these fences? It was a tragedy which could have easily been predicted.

And it was predicted and happened a couple of years before at hillsbourgh 38 people were hurt.
