huntmark 18
Just wanted to know how long it takes you lads to knit a 3'6" net roughly Quote Link to post
Rabbitbolter 5
15 to 25 mins. I have done it under 15 mins Quote Link to post
The one 8,463
Twenty minutes but speeds of no use if the knots slip 2 Quote Link to post

mally 832
Shite lads taking me at least an hour. But then I've only started looks like i need plenty of practice then Doesn't matter how long it takes mate as long as the knots don't slip and the nets do the job. You'll get more satisfaction catching rabbits in the nets you've made than ones you've bought in. It took me well over an hour to knit a net when i first started when i was 12 years old. huntmark 18
The satisfaction is already there just seeing them in there finished state. All I need now is to keep going and then get out with the ferrets 1 Quote Link to post
bobcullen79 1,495
About 40 mins mate, for a 4ft`er. I get a bit quicker if I do a few in the same session. Speed comes with practice. Takes me much longer to do a 6ft fox net tho. Quote Link to post
nothernlite 18,076
26 mins and 32 seconds does it matter as long as the net sound no slip knots in it ffs Quote Link to post
The one 8,463
Same here i got show how to knit nets when i was at primary school and so ive been knitting them for forty years but one lapse of concentration and a slipped knot and the nets fecked . i go out and knit all day with some music on ect but other days when i dont think i can concentrate i give it a miss Quote Link to post

northern lad 2,292
Probably 40/45mins I have a series of hooks screwed into the underside of the beam over the woodburner and can now sit in the same room as Hollyoaks ,Eastenders etc without losing the will to live ,like others have said its not how many you can make, its the quality of them having said that saw Mick Dadd at a show a few years ago very impressive, that guy is fast Quote Link to post
tegater 789
Takes me well over an hour, but they are good nets, and I always taper them, so that means lots more concentration for me!! Probably do them a bit quicker if I didn't double knot. Quote Link to post
