lovamo 0
Hello all I am looking for a good ballistics simulator program. I found several on the net, but no one really fulfilled what I am expecting. What are the best softwares you know for that purpose ? Ideally I am looking for something not too complicated, free or with an affordable price ! Thanks Quote Link to post
243ACK 36
If you are after a ballistic calculator look at Exbal from Perry-Systems http://www.perry-systems.com/ Quote Link to post
lovamo 0
Thanks for those links ! I found another nice one : http://mankonit.free.fr/qbal/ Main functions are presents, and it's focused on simplicity. Bullet database is quite complete I think (I found the bullets I'm using ... Sierra and Hornady, not the most exotic OK !). The price is nice too : 5$. The guy developping it also seems interested in adding new functionalities based on users feebacks. Quote Link to post
tegater 789
I use "shooter" by Sean Kennedy, and "strelok" both of which are good apps. ....however they are only as good as the information you put in! 1 Quote Link to post
Hot Shot 1
You could always try the following. All free so you've nothing to lose. Hawke BRC available for MAC and PC - download here http://www.hawkeoptics.com/apps/brc.html Also available for iPhone - visit the app store. If you are interested in shorter ranges (Airguns), you could try the Hawke Chairgun Pro, currently only available for PC but MAC version is coming soon http://www.hawkeoptics.com/apps/chairgun-pro.html Also available for iPhone - visit the app store. dicehorn 38
If you just want a very simple calculator without such things as atmosphere, LOS and taking into account the curvature of the earth use this and print it off - on my rifles they are pretty much there up to 400 yds http://www.biggameinfo.com/index.aspx?page=%2fbalcalc.ascx If you want something in App form (at a small cost) then Ballistic FTE is pretty comprehensive Other apps to consider are Bullet Drop, Ballistics or iStrelok Quote Link to post
SNAP SHOT 194
strelok is a great wee app, and when used properly is every bit as good as exbal, i have the two, i also found lee shooter very good and easy to use, sierra infinity is another good programme, its what you input into the programme data wise, that makes the difference, Snap.
