As for soccer being the most popular sport in the world, hooliganism also seems popular. From Ray Houghton to Ronaldo cheating, and encouraging cheating is endemic. Juventus, Glasgow Rangers, Joey Barton, Quatar world cup *coughbriberycough*. It hardly sets much of an example, the beautiful game? Maybe if you have blinkers on and choose to not see the above.

 A bit more like this...

Well obviously the vast majority of the world are wrong !...................and little old Ireland are right......its real easy to be good at a game no other c**t plays

That would be why we call it the "All Ireland" Gnash, we're not like the Americans and their "World Series" of baseball.

Besides, we've a very small population here and in soccer, rugby and other sports we've beaten plenty of other c**ts who also play those games :tongue2: 'Sake, we even have a cricket team

See thing about hurling is that it's about pride in where you come from, there are hundreds of clubs around the country that can only draw from their local area. No fannying off to Brazil, Japan, or the continent for talent who "act" like they are smitten then dump that club when someone else offers them a fiver extra a week

Heuston, we've struck a nerve!

No jealousy or inferority whatsoever, I think it's better to play a game for pride than money, money corrupts. I don't think I've said anything untrue above about soccer. I'm sure it was a beautiful game once.

I am happy that you enjoy your game Gnash :) I'm sure as much as I enjoy mine :victory:

Lacrosse is the fastest "field sport" in the world with hurling second. Ice hockey is the faster than them both. Yet Hurlings the best off them all.
