pie-eater 377
I like either spun poly or 12z nylon nets. Hemp is good to but higher maintanance. Edited September 11, 2012 by pie-eater Quote Link to post

weasle 1,119
Depends were your using them,I have a selection i use 4z on bolt holes in fields, spun for alround and i have a good few hemp some ive had a long time,You cannot beat them in very heavy cover,Its only a case of hanging them on a hook when you get home. Also made my self a hemp stop net to thread through hedges. The one 8,494
Spun nylons etc coming into there own with the bright colours so it should be impossible to loss a net or leave one behind but a nets a net if set properly they should all catch Quote Link to post
AndyKelly 251
technically hemp these days is not hemp, its a product called 4 ply flax which is higher maintenance than the wife!!!!!! it has to be dried after every ferreting session or it snaps and rots. nylon is ok but tends to pick up alot of debris and can tangle easier whereas spun poly is the bees knees its easily spotted in the field so you dont lose it and can be left wet in the bag and it dries out like new. most people go for a 3ft 6 net witch is the standard length with a few slight variations in size for difficult holes Quote Link to post
