I always end up with the downy feathers still on, only my second season but manage pheasant and pigeon ok just seem to struggle with ducks? remi700 99 Posted September 11, 2012 Report Share Posted September 11, 2012 Ive seen them plucked wet to get the down off them but i pluck till i get most of the down off dry then give them a wee run of a blow lamp, not long enough to burn the skin just long enough to burn the down. Then give them a wash. Ps for the next month ducks generally aren't worth plucking because of all the pen feathers, i'd just breast them. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
