Pedwar 320
im a muslims, and i believe religion must serve to bring peace and harmony, Dont all muslims believe this, you've left out the bit where the "peace and harmony" will only come when islam is the dominant worldwide religion and the rest of us live at dhimni level
Hob&Jill 258
Saying that religion causes peace is a strange statement. In fact there is a direct correlation between the most Atheistic countries in the world and a lower rate of violent crimes. Religion is a tricky subject. Religion in moderation causes no harm to anyone. You never hear about religious moderates flying planes into buildings or stoning people to death lol. This is a bullshit statistic but I think it would be fair to say that 90% of so called religious people are pretty moderate in their beliefs. I.e I know a few people who consider themselves Christians, yet they believe in evolution, do not condone keeping slaves, do not think its OK to kill a woman on her wedding night if she is not a virgin etc etc....The vast majority of religious people if they are being honest just pick and choose the bits they like out of their chosen faith. For the most part I see nothing wrong with this as it often helps people turn their lives around and gives people a code to live by. The trouble with being a religious moderate is that it provides a cover for extremism. How often do we hear that Islam is a 'religion of peace'? All the fecking time. Yes it is a religion of peace if you only half heartedly follow the religion and do not live by its strict code of conduct. You may get the odd liberal atheist saying this crap but for the most part it is the moderates providing this vail of cover IMO. Religion to me seems so out dated and unnecessary now. We can all live our lives trying to be nice to people as much as we can, help people out when needed and just generally being nice people. Belief in a God does not help this. twobob 1,497
Who packs their passport in the luggage hold? It's be in your pocket. Lets face it, i'm not saying that the americans blew up those towers themselves, although that is entirely possible (seeing how it seems that they had the buildings rigged for demolition before the planes hit - to be able to drop them as unsafe so quick), but i would definatly say, that some folk knew it was going to happen and oppened the door, because it really fits in so very neatly with their future political agenda. It's standard american governmental practice. As for folk saying 9/11 was the start of something . . . . it wasn't, look at world events preceeding 9/11. Don't suppose anyone remembers the U.S bombing the Al-Shifa pharmacutical factory in Sudan in 1998? Were there not bits of the plane and building blown all over the streets of NY? In his pocket, in his luggage, makes no odds, one of the hijackers passports was found from the NY attacks, hardly unlikely..... It only identified one hijacker anyway. Like I said, they didn't pull it out of a furnace like you suggested. You can prove they were rigged for demo can you? Or is that another conspiracy fairytale? So you dont think thats a bit strange mate that they found a passport still intact enough to identify even one of them? What I'm saying lab is from where I'm sitting with no evidence it's the most plausible explanation. Was there lots of material from within the airplane scattered all over the streets or just that one passport? Were any other passports/documents found of the other passengers? Any luggage? Bodys? When you consider that loads of bits of the internals of the plane were scattered all over the streets it's not that hard to believe ONE of the hijackers passports were found. Now putting that aside, lets look at the motive of planting the passport. The FBI had already identified all the hijackers easily and accurately so what is the point in planting just one passport? The whole thing seems pointless. Hence in my 'idiotic' opinion the most plausible explanation is the one I have given. A lot of people claim many of the official events that day as impossible, a small minority of academics even do, but VERY few have any idea what happens when an airliner hits a f*****g skyscrapper! Then any statistically unlikely event gets used as evidence for a conspiracy. But what do I know, I'm just an idiot that doesn't watch one sided conspiracy documentarys. waiting for the BUT
