Brian-911 210
Took the dog out tonight on the bike with me, worked out quite well actually. Managed to cover cover 5 miles at a nice jogging pace. How far do you think is a good/acceptable distance to cover on a bike with the dogs ? Mines 8 1/2 months now Quote Link to post
rocky1 942
i would,nt do anymore then that till he a bit older with him still growing ,but their no better way 2 get them ready for the season Quote Link to post
nighteyes 275
to be fair mate i dont bother with the bike at 8-9 month, old but if you do bike it 4/5 mile at a steady pace a 2/3 times a week is ample with waking it free running inbetween even for a older dog imo Quote Link to post
Brian-911 210
Right I'll keep it at that 3 times a week then, never had a dog run with me on bike before so making sure I don't over do it. Cheers Quote Link to post
milliken 791
just as has already been said afew miles is more then enough for a dog of that age the last thing you want to do is damage the joint with run to hard robert Quote Link to post
redcharge 378
Just remember good rest is just as important as good excercise, I dont think id do that much with a dog of that age. 2 Quote Link to post
