Derby tweed is as good as it gets carry a bum bag with a light weight poncho ,just in case it pours down saves getting through to the skin.

Tweed dries quick though once the rain stops and its also relatively silent and blends in with the surroundings some tweed jackets like the Hucklecote for instance which i have do include a mid waterproof liner and are totally waterproof but are very expensive at £430.00 although i didnt pay that for mine as it was second hand , as for boots get yourself some Brasher Hillmaster superlites they are brilliant I have had mine now for 4 years and totally waterproof and comfortable.

With some boots the heather can wreck them in no time but the brashers stand the test, so much so I use mine now alternately with my Hi-Tech superlights for blanket forest stalking..

Hope this helps

Stu
