Water Badger 26
Would aprecieate any feedback frome people that have tested gear in the highland enviroment,Need to gear up for my highland stalking, with my lowland stalking I am happy with my Swazi smock over natural layers that don’t sweat (having got rid of the rivers west gear) So when out on the hill crawling for god knows how long through heather peat bogs up and down gullies what do you wear? Jackets trousers under layers? And when walking up and down the steep hill faces crossing burns and maybe some more crawling what’s your footwear choice Boots? Quote Link to post

dogs-n-natives 1,182
I wear a good waterproof cammo jacket, shirt underneath. Tweed breeks. Gators and boots. Tweed hat. If not too wet, tweed jacket instead of waterproof. Quote Link to post
alimac 882
A set of decent tweeds, they've worn them for ever up here so don't think they'll be wrong:-) 1 Quote Link to post

Grousekeeper84 2
Your swazi will be a good jacket with a good pair of tweeds, gaitors and i cant see past meindl boots. If its going to be wet (its scotland its more than likely!) take a look at the waterproof mock tweeds by nomad or musto to keep you dry on any long crawls. 1 Quote Link to post
