alimac 882
IMO if a salmon is In the fettle to take a lure/fly then it will probably take any of the common lures/flys, it's more to do with right place right time.. 1 Quote Link to post
WILF 46,981
Like most fishing it's probably about ringing the changes to find what's right on the particular stretch of water your working on the day..... Quote Link to post

MAIN MAN 277
We fished the devon minoe in high water and just let it roll round with the odd turn of the reel! there was some big fish caught with them. Quote Link to post

Maybe just bad luck. I think if you have faith in a lure of fly you seem to fish better, the ally shrimp is probably one of the best known salmon flies but i have tried them off and on for years and never even had a pull. I would not put one on now. Some other anglers i know cant go wrong with them. Quote Link to post

I almost always stick with the darker colours have better luck. I don't even own a white one I don't think. Mepps are great too. Quote Link to post
