no right or wrong way as long as youir getting enjoyment out of it thats the main thing .

The only time the lamp's on is for a quick reccy or when there's quarry in the beam, dog to heel (no slip/string/collars/leads) phone on silent, walk alone 99% of the time. I could think of nothing wo

just read the topic about HID lamp and some the post on it about keeping lamp on to open gates and so on   so ill tell you some the things i do while lamping   1 keep tight to the hedge so i place

a good person on the lamp can make a big difference to the nights outcome imo, ifs theres a few laid out there i will try pick off the closest to the hedge first and work out to the further ones if they hold out there , another thing i do quite alot is if the dogs run a couple and theres still rabbits laid out there back on slip and just sit tight lamp off give the dog a blow then go again , but a big help is knowing the ground where there gonna head,be, can be a big advantage , plus wind direction can play a big part to how you have to lamp a place

Does the skill of lamping come with experience? Just comin in to my second season didn't catch a great deal last season and wanting to progress my skills. Any more help full tips?

usualy stick a head torch on the dog and send it on its way while i sit in the motor with all my mates smoking a large banger necking the stellas,music pumping and see what it comes back with.....................
