It's just the smell I'm concerned with but I will be keeling it clean and flushing daily so may not be a problem. The 40kg bags of ballast and cement are these pre mixed? The area will be 14.5ft x 6.5ft so not sure on quantitys. I will need Appreciate the help lads, thanks not to good with feet but if it was 5mtrsx2mtrs at 100mm thick thats about 1 cubic metre if mixing you self youd need 2 tons of ballast and 15 bag of cement aprox, and you mix it up yuorself piss of piss. 1 Quote Link to post

haymin 2,465
Why don't you just buy 2x2 slabs and do it that way ? Quote Link to post
Rabbithunter 456
If you hoseing the run down, piss & little bits of shit thats stuck, and its running into your garden, it will soon start smelling! Especially in hot summer. Best tapping into foul, or digging soakaway Quote Link to post
Sherlock 42
I think you are being a bit generous with 100 mil of concrete , I would lay it 50 mil thick more than ample for an eighty pound lurcher and a kennel. Also I would put some water proofing agent in the mix ,it stops the pee from soaking into the concrete. Also put a sheet of visquene (polythene) under the concrete, this will stop it drying out to quickly and you will also get a better smoother surface . Quote Link to post
socks 32,253
Laid my new base last week it took 12 cubic meters had it pumped in as barrowing that much would have taken all day and the first lay would have gone off before the last barrow was in ... I laid aco drainage connected to the main sewer job done ...... Edited September 9, 2012 by socks 1 Quote Link to post

stabba 10,745
No matter how well 2x2 slabs are laid..eventually moisture will get between the joints and it,ll start stinking..conny all the way ..i was lucky when my base was done as i had only 8 feet to drop into the drains..best thing i ever did 1 Quote Link to post
