Strong Stuff 2,171
dont see the point of a dimmer just use a filter until you want to slip Battery life? how the hell can you drain a 22ah lithium in one night unless your name is simo. the last time i was out with him the rabbits were not lamp shy but they all had raybans on I had a 10 Ah one Quote Link to post
Rabbithunter 456
Dimmer switches are a god send if you ask me. Opening gates, getting over fences. Plus why have lamp on full 100watts, when a 20watts will do the same job 1 Quote Link to post

derbylad1 293
So thats what i've got!!!!...lol Last year i sent an email to lightforce asking when they were planning to bring a new lamp with better wiring and a couple of other points. anyway the top man at lightforce emailed me back from australia. Apparently he wasn't aware of the issues, we has lurcher men were having with the wiring. To cut a long story short, i was sent a huge box of gear to review and give them some feedback. There was a torch, a new type of gun lamp and this HID lamp, thats been sat in my shed for over a year. i just thought it was another striker...lol. Best get it out soon eh? if i knew it was worth this much i would've sold it ages ago. Oh and has for dimmers...i switched to using one about 3 years ago. what a difference in your results. Longer battery life and if the beam is low enough just to see the bunnies eyes, then a lurcher can get onto them without the rabbit running off. Great when later in the season and they're all lamp shy. http://buxtonpestcontrol.co.uk/ Edited September 8, 2012 by derbylad1 1 Quote Link to post

Qbgrey 4,143
i fitted a door bell to one of my ligtforce lamps,i just flick it and get a quick low light scan about,if calling foxes i use the flick method until im ready to shoot,we do use filters but i always think a fox is used to car lights etc so a white light is good, Quote Link to post
derbylad1 293
That black block on the base of the handle, i thought was a back-up battery and was gonna cut all the wiring out of it...lol (what a dumb-ass). good job i didn't eh? Does anyone know if a could fit a dimmer onto it? anybody know about all this some of stuff. Quote Link to post
