just been reading about these lamps!!! have any of u guys got one, or have seen these lamps in the feild! much of a difference to the standard stuff were using!! is paying the extra worth it !! thanks

never herd of them until now, just had a quick look on google for them. ive just seen a lightforce striker HID lamp forsale at £249.99 thats a lot of dosh if you ask me. i cant possible see what they could do any better than a normal striker to justify charging that much more.

 

it will be interesting to see what the feedbacks like on them.

aaccording to lightforce a 35v hid is 6 x better clarity than a 100w halogen bulb!!! uses much less power as well!!

think how powerfull a HID kitt is on your car, it is alot more bright and strong, but dont see the point if your old lamp does the same job, looking for ways to make money obviously

ive got a 30watt bulb in a lance lamp which uses little power and i can see more than i can catch with that of a night. perhaps i might change my mind if i tried one but at that money it wont be anytime soon.

Great kit worlds apart from my old striker and blows them out the water. Uses 3 times less power I use a 22amp lithium battery pack and i could use it for 3 nights lamping without draining my battery. The price is a joke but to any 1 thinking of buying 1 u won't be disappointed. The difference is unreal you can see clear as day take my word for it will totally change your lamping

Now I'm no expert .........

 

But, what I've found with using bright white type light (like the super powerful LED torches etc) is that they are on or off.

 

No good for having a quick peep around like a Striker with a dimmer turned almost off, if you're squeaking foxes (for wildlife observation purposes, no dog involved) then those bright lights light the world up and everything scarpers.

 

How long does the HID take to come on, when you press the button does it blink then come on or is it instantaneous?

dimmer switches and filters are a load of bollox if your good enough on a lamp and got knowledge and field craft you'll catch the gear.

As regards new lamps and equipment why not if your in the job buy the best quality you can afford, Iv had lithium battery for 3 years now, and I find it ridiculous people still buy stone age heavy battery's.

Ive had it twice already since I started this season, where I have been lamping on permission & been reported, and had a night unterupted.

how the hell can you drain a 22ah lithium in one night unless your name is simo. the last time i was out with him the rabbits were not lamp shy but they all had raybans on
