Guest Ditch_Shitter
found a huge tick on her foot got the dam thing off (legs and all) just been to check them agen and she cant move Might the amateur amputation of her legs have some bearing on this? No, seriously: How old is she, mate? And, considering the current tempratures, my own first consideration would be heat exhaustion. BAD for ferrets! If ye feel they may be getting a bit roasted, try to get ye hands on an eletric fan and point it into the cage so they might choose to get in front of it. Quote Link to post

Well all it cost to save my ferrets life yesterday was £ 23.00 that included consultation, ulrasound scan , calcium & oxytocin injection, a small price to pay Quote Link to post
Guest ARTEMIS
get an empty pop bottle fill with water freeze and put it in the cage with them ... they will curl around it to keep cool ......... Great tip - I was wondering how my ferrets (getting some kits in a few weeks) will get on in the heat - especially as I'm now living down south (I never thought I'd miss those chilly northern summers - but I do! )..... Will start saving the kids pop bottles ready for the arrival of our ferrets! Quote Link to post

You need to act fast , cool the ferret as there brains literally cook Quote Link to post

doddsy1970 9
Devvo i'm going to say something that you probably won't like......... Your ferrets seem to have more problems with them than anyone elses on here.Maybe you should take a look at your husbandry and how your ferrets are kept!! This is just my opinion and if I am wrong then I will apologise but its just the impression you give with some of your questions. Quote Link to post
