Guest Leveller
It's so easy now for dog walkers, joggers, hikers, etc., to see someone going about their LEGAL business of ferreting, lamping, whatever, to jump to conclusions and 'phone the police ! Quite right it doesn't help the way the media fill Joe Public full of shit too, you only have to look through some of the press/tv etc informing the layman "if you see lads with Lurcher dogs, terriers, spades out on a sunday they ARE Badger baiters phone the police straight away". I've been sat the other side of a hedge quietly whilst listening to a rambler on their mobile " Hello, I'd like to report a foxhunt, yes we are at blah blah blah and there are about 40 dogs and twenty riders blah blah blah " Not a fox in sight, not a single hound making a noise but this person believes that hunting is banned so they feel a moral duty to report a crime (they'd probably run a mile if they saw a real crime in progress but there you go) but what they've witnessed isn't actually a crime. morton 5,368
There as and always will be a small minority that are incapable of conducting themselves in any sort of reasonable manner,pre-ban or not.The internet gives them a wider audience now, before computers they were mainly isolated and devoid of the audience and recognition they crave, now its far to easy for these social rejects to amuse one another and keep in touch and sadly attract others of their ilk. They masquerade as lurcher, terrier, shooting or other hunting types, they are not really interested in the hunting side of things,it is a means to an end with them, sooner or later they will drift off and amuse themselves elsewhere, leaving the real hunters to sweep up after them and carry the brunt of their stupidity, its the society we live in now.We have to realise there is this element about and they won,t quickly go away, they are not hunters just spineless, wannabe feckwits who attract other mindless halfwit numpty,s.I feel sorry for their dogs,it must be difficult for an animal when it is more intelligent but dependant on the owner. 2 Quote Link to post

Love the last quote ha ha . But it's true I left the sport for a short while just before the ban I have come back to chaos I walked my pup the other day we jumped a small wall on the way back out of a small field the police where waiting we have had a report of ppl coursing eventually they realised I was just walking my dog but some busy body has been ringing. And these police camera shows don't help either Quote Link to post

Sad thing is; the police will treat it as a crime, as the average policeman is as ignornant, or mis-informed, of the Hunting Act, 2004 as the average punter !! Cheers/ 1 Quote Link to post
