gonetoearth 5,144
i thought correct me if am wrong but any report of dog barking a letter has to be sent around all nighbours within a certain area alerting dog owner of dogs barking and to controll there dogs after that a warning useually in the form of another letter is sent to you then on your agreement a monitor can be placed , no here is the problem how will they know its your dog and not A another dog barking and if it is another dog can you or they prove it is or not yours ,
secretagentmole 1,701
Part of it is the time, I think your dog can bark between 7:30 am and 10:30 pm.... So train it well or buy it a watch, then you can have a watch dog....
henarchchar 64
could you not set up a camcorder or something to make sure that nothing is going on to make the dogs bark stone throwing etc . i think on another post on here someone had a similar problem and caught the neighbours up to stuff like that good luck anyway
stabba 10,745
no letters need be sent and there,s no time limit a dog can bark at so im told.Noise pollution is noise pollution. round here they sit in the car with a decibal monitor or whatever they're called..go above a certain level for a certain amount of time then your in the shit. bad neighbours can be a pain in the arse aswell as a noisy dog..hope you get sorted mate. Round the country as I've checked council. Here sends letters , then any other complaint are taken in to account. Then and only then is a monitor put in place , any dog barking. In and around the location is all so taken into consideration , A kennel in the south had a nearby golf course try and close it due to the dogs disturbing the golfers. The kennel is still open15 years later , its all down to location and the degree of noise.

Typical waste of time and money - All the council cut backs accross the country, and they're still prepared to sit in a car listening to Dogs barking!

koda 83
hi sorry for the late replys been working. anyway this is how they approaced it .they told me they had a complaint from my next door neighbour and i told them when my dog hears a noise like a baning or the fence kicked she does bark i tried to sort it by buying a collar that send a spray of water off when she barks wich has stopped a lot of it and they still complain .so now the monitoring meter is in i think its way over the top for the odd bark /growl and i think im in my right to own a dog that protects me and my family i told the council i will fight for this right all the way ,
paulus 26
it might work in your favour and show your neighbours are just moaning old gits, if the noise is acceptable then you have nothing to worry about
