tomburras 2,730
Does anyone know of any good ways to deter cats from round a chicken coop? Several of the neighbours cats keep harrasing them through the runs mesh and my chickens are carrying on alarming making a racket and a couple are loosing there feathers while throwing themselvs at the mesh. This is happening while I am at work so I cant scare them away. Any ideas anyone?

Nik_B 3,790
I've had cats myself but since they both died and I got a dog I came to the conclusion that they really are the lazy persons pet and I dislike them more and more. It's the only animal you can own where you don't have to take any responsibility what so ever just buy one and let it out to shit in other peoples gardens and there's nothing anyone can do. You can get cat deterrent which is something that doesn't smell good to them but again I guess it will freak your dogs out as well.
