Money is the root of all evil! Hickory charging that much for a stud is a f*****g joke, no wonder the terrier game is f****d and dogs are going missing left right and centre with money like that changing hands. What happened to it being about the love of the terriers and the love of digging? Money comes and goes! :hmm:

Money should never ever ever be involved with dogs end of!

Totally agree ...that is the problem in the gun dog world most lads are motavated by the pound if a lad has a decent dog that has won a few FTs he will put it out to all comers with out ever seeing the bitch work as he just wants to line his pocket and in all honesty you cant blame them takeing £400-£500 for letting his dog get its hole ....but like Ali says im glad I dont mix in they circles ...maybe if the gundog and most lurcher and terrier men bred purely for improveing stock then there would be so much litters and there certainly wouldnt be so much shite going about .

I honestly cant believe you asked that question cleanspade

Are there any working gundogs in the u.k anymore?(pointers and setters i mean)..Id have no lproblem paying a stud fee if a dog was worth it-the country is fcked-fellas have families to feed and yards of dogs of their own to look after and mightnt have the space for another pup.Generally ive fount that the best studdogs ive used over the years have been free.

I think it's the raising you get that leads folk to be either honest or dishonest.

Think you had better put it back in the truck before it gets them feet dirty !!!!!

Good thought. He's far too valuable as a stud dog to ever put to ground again. Imagine having that perfect muzzle marked up. I guess I'll just have to retire him. :victory:

yeh them possums will suck the face off of him Eh

I've heard it said that a good strong possum is the best test to see if you have a real working dog. One about four pounds or so. If you have a dog that can find fit and stay on a possum, what more could you possibly want?
