AndyKelly 251 Posted September 5, 2012 Report Share Posted September 5, 2012 first look out of the season this morning and due to the 'indian summer' of a week i decided to be up at 5 and head off early so i could get a few hours in before the hot weather came in with force. arrived at my ground and was getting out of my car just as it was getting light and a little voice called....'excuse me' thinking i was hearing things i carried on but it called again. i then noticed a little grandma compleate with curlers in a chink of open door. 'can i help you love?' i asked. them bloody buggers are up by the hole in the tree she responded, can you go get em please?. chuckling to myself i told her it wasn't a problem and toddled off to the tree, got the hob out of the box and he was off down the hole.bang bang bang three bunnys and a great start to my season. still alot of cover when i looked so i then toddled down to the farmyard to do the sets round the house to keep the old farmer happy. on my way down talked to a few villagers and the favorite line i heard today was 'thank god your back' made me feel quite happy to no i was missed! in the farmyard the open sets were easy to do so fred went on his business and i managed to get another 8. bout 10am the sun was up and after spraying the ferret a few times decided to give up for this morning as it was to hot to work. now setting up the long net as there is many places to put it up as the rabbits are running off the top of the moor and down a specific field. watch out bunnys im back on friday 1 Quote Link to post
