No point mate. Only commenting on what I've seen, the beddy/greys I've seen have been much bigger and stronger than the few beddy/ wippets I've seen. I've never seen a beddy/wippet work though, but I like the beddy/grey but I do prefer a larger dog, but that's just me.

where would you find a good bedlington to produce a lurcher, seems to be a lot of bedlington cross lurchers about and a working bedlington is unheard off.

Not unheard of if you take the time and trouble to source them instead of jumping on the "ive never seen or heard of one,so there cannot possibly be any" bandwagon of ignorance and lack of any real knowledge.Working type Bedlingtons,on the whole are seldom used in lurcher breeding because its easier to source a taller KC bred Beddy from supposed working kennels. With hybrid vigour coming to the fore with this breeding its seldom that a beddy lurcher, even in the wrong kennels, fails to make the grade at some work or another. If i had to id go with Beddy/Greys as they make a more reliable and useful option,i don,t have to and although im a big fan of Beddy,s,i don,t see the point of adding terrier blood to the production of a lurchers.

Just out of curiosity Morton what do you run yourself and what makes you not see the point in terrier blood in my opinion beddy x or Wheaton x can be just as good as a collie x or saluki x or any other type of x just my opinion atb

Collie/Grey x Deerhound/Grey type, ive owned a few Beddy lurchers,to me they always needed something more, the dogs i now run don,t,i also own a few Beddy,s.Plus, terrier infusion throws a litter all over the place for generations. Edited by morton
