PLEDGEY 496
get b.a.s.c insurance. makes you look more professianal. Then print off there form off the site and send it out To my mind, every one who owns any sort of gun should be a member of BASC. You get good insurance, good advice and your subscription goes towards helping to keep shooting alive. If it wasn't for BASC, standing up for shooting, who knows where it would be. 2 Quote Link to post

There are other organisations that offer the same! My personal view is that they should all be amalgamated into one. Quote Link to post

secretagentmole 1,701
If the person whose door you are knocking at says they have the problem covered or they do not have a problem, ask them if they know anybody who does, then you go to that person and say that the other person recommended you... Amazing how that works! Quote Link to post
Buster321c 1,010
Fantastic advice once again . This may breifly work for you , but i cant see anyone trusting you once they find out the first conversation you had was based upon untruths and lies meerly for your own personal gain . I know of someone that has done a similar thing and now has lost not only the small permissions he gained , but the the trust and frindship of likeminded people , for the saying - With lies you may get ahead in the world - but you can never go back , is one worth remembering . 1 Quote Link to post
WILE E. COYOTE 3
I started by sending an email to all the farms, stables, and small holdings around the surrey area, the email started with a description of myself, and the type of service i could provide to them. I listed all the quarry that i would be willing to erradicate, and the problems they cause for local landowners, Then i copied and pasted a copy of my permission, and gave details of my BASC membership and insurance. As a result i gained 6 perms out of 17 emails sent, that was 4 yrs ago and now i have a team of 4 very good friends and myself that have got permanent shoots, and still get the occasional phone calls offering work. If i can do this, then all of you can too 1 Quote Link to post
Nashy1983 2
That's some success rate! I've just ordered a load of business cards. Its really difficult here being in a town as what little land there is has all been covered and mainly by syndicates. I'm determined to get something though!!! Quote Link to post
