The Ghost Maker 20
In this episode I was joined by Alex Honeywell (junior HFT superstar and winner of the RSN10 memorial cup 2012) for some ratting with a 30 cal test rig designed by Airgun design master John Bowkett. John contacted me and told me that he had been playing with 30 cal for years but could never get accuracy with the available ammo. Since the release of the amazing and brilliant Daystate Wolverine .303 John has been very keen to send me his 30 cal test rig to have a play with. John was very keen to see if the pellet would improve the rifles accuracy. John has been able to get good shot counts and almost regulated power with the knock open valving in this rifle. Power is nothing without consistency and accuracy, while this rifle is capable of both we learn something unexpected while making this video. Please enjoy it and if you do please hit the thumbs up and share it with your friends. ATB Malc Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
Hello Malc. This calibre needs a massively higher FPE level than sub-12ft/lb mate. It's just too slow. But the accuracy is impressive for all that. A 300 ft/lb PCP rifle would do nicely! All the best. Simon Quote Link to post
woodcote1 88
Gutted for you both but at least you show how effective .177 can be at close range. Quote Link to post
Mawders 595
Blimey, they were true matrix style moves those rats were pulling off! Quote Link to post

The Ghost Maker 20
Thank you all for leaving your thoughts I was a little gutted to say the least that the pellets were just to slow. Would have been nice to see the rats reaction to being hit with 50 grains of church roof =) Oh well back to the drawing board ATB Malc Quote Link to post
