Urgent help Pup training

Recommended Posts

many puppies are like that with strange dogs. just walk over calmly and put the lead on. if the other dogs owner doesnt mind you can let them play its good for socialisatio . when your dog is old enough to start work it will soon realise that there are more imporatant fun and interesting things to do than play. he will grow out of it eventually though maybe not even till a year old. and dont try to call him if he is running away, it wil teach him that being called is ok to ignore it. and DONT scold him when you get him back, even if your livid you must still praise and mad play with the pup when you get him back

As already stated this isnt unusual and at least you know your dog is bold, anyone who says they havent had this problem hasnt had many pups. Stick with what has been said with making yourself more interesting i.e treats and toys and with consistency and as the pup matures you should be fine cheers.

Also I went over board with the goodies initially which makes them understand very quickly , but then he started weighing up what i might have and looking to see if i was going in my pocket...remedy was jackpot, so sometimes he gets a pat sometimes a handful of meat , but this way he can't afford to risk not coming straight in or whatever command might be. It is hard and frustrating but I feel he's starting to reward my efforts and embarrassments now.

Cheers
