Didnt see many - if not any jokes about the Olympic Games. Have seen a shit load of jokes on here on threads and status' since the Paralympics started, im not surprised tho.

I think some people should look in the mirror now and again, i think they will be surprised how much ugliness they see looking back at them.

Stop and think before you post topics/posts and status'........ You never know who might be reading them.

Hi Mo , no offence taken everyone has their opinion . What I would say is I have not singled anyone out in particular and nor would I , I feel proud of each and every one of the paralympions . When Elle won the gold in the pool the emotion in her voice and on her face in her interview made me well up as well .At most the joke's are in bad taste but that's all as I said a joke is only a joke good or bad.I hope this has come over as is meant as I'm on the phone

It amazes me that people think it ok to use "them sort of words against disabled people" ( i cant even write them tbh) even in a jokey way, but then again they must not understand the hurt it can cause...

 

but if there was a Racial, Sectarian, Religious, etc etc crack made it is classed as unacceptable, but if someone cracks a joke about disabled people - most people will jump on and have a crack too..

 

It offends me when just as much as it would offend a family member or disabled friends hearing the word R*****D or W******W L****R.

PIL i can honestly say i wouldnt of went off as much as i did if it was just the joke, its the other comments.

 

I apologize again that i went OTT on my first post and was a bit harsh and blunt, but thats the effect having a disabled family member has on you, always trying to defend and protect them from people who put them down so to speak.

I know alot of people with disabilities and it does hurt them when they hear things like that.

I'm always left scratching my head a bit with what jokes people think are okay and what are not. I know what I would and wouldn't joke about and to who I can get away with such jokes. Personally I don't think the internet is the place for 'sick jokes' like about dissabilites etc.

 

Anybody know of any jokes about Maddy McCann? Are they acceptable? Must be if dissabled jokes are?

 

I'm not judging anyone, It doesn't bother me what people post jokes about, but it's not something I would do or support. I don't think there is any need to blow it out of proportion though and react negatively.
