2.8 guy 403
Im on the look out for a rabbiting dog, and just wondered if anyone works, saluki whippet based lurchers as a strait cross or with something els ie collie or bedlington Im not saying this will be my next dog but the thought of the cross does interest me as i dont want my dog to be over 24inc prob 22/23 would be best as it will be only for rabbits but its always nice to have a dog that has a good turn of speed just in case a fast one jumps up any info, stories or breeders would be of interest atb 2.8 1 Quote Link to post

2.8 guy 403
IM no stranger to the collie greyhound run them for years of all %'s, and like you say a nice cross for rabbits but these days im of the opinion that a lurcher to lurcher with a twixt of what you want ie collie or whateva will offer a better chance of something that would catch a swift one for example, i run a half cross acd it was 2nd genaration half cross to half cross, but as a hybrid through racier than a strait half cross and could run a fair bit quicker than the others i saw of just half cross running with the same parents on one side but like i said ive not 100% made my mind up yet atb 2.8 Quote Link to post
