scarecrow243 24
not as long as you have spoken to the firearms dept first and have the letter saying who gave you it Quote Link to post
smithie 2,443
i know a guy who was offered a single barrel bsa 12g it was off ticket so he made the call to the police and they told him to put it on his ticket as its a gun off the streets (its now on his ticket).. if they had of said he can not have it he recons that he would not of told them were to find it.. nobody would have got done without the evidence.. i would have left it alone, if it had turned out to be stolen and he was putting it on his ticket the problems would have been never ending Edited October 2, 2012 by smithie Quote Link to post
topshot61 3
One of the farms that I have permission on has found a gun in the attic and wanted me to find out about it. First of all does in need to be registered by the police or something? Its heavly pitted. Will it need testing? Is it a shotgun or rifle. The markings on it are "cal 9mm glatt" "victor" "no 3 shot 1-75" nitro proof 3/15" "victor mod 1/4" any help would be great do your self a favour register the gun with a with a license holder ((dont forget who is likely to be reading these foromns) there will not be a problem as any police force prefere any gun no mater what to be registered on a liscence than running around the streets, As regards the 9mm i would say its whats known as a garden gun (but these days not to be used in a standard garden) used to shoot rats, starlings, sparrows etc in days gone by, and if i,m correct is on shotgun cert Quote Link to post
