Stuart1985 256
They are a lovely rifle and one of the best sidelevers Diana made. Good solid rifle with a great trigger and a nice heft. The V-Mach kit sounds a brilliant refit for this rifle of your Stuart. Nice couple of Hare at decent range. Well shot! Simon Thanks Simon Am very impressed with the v Mach kit. Has improved the rifle beyond what I though was capable. Smooth and crisp. 1 Quote Link to post

Whizzie 38
Its not illegal to take a Hare; However, Hare's aren't normally classed as suitable quarry for Air rifles. When using a sub12ft/lb Air Rifle, due consideration & great respect must be given to the animal. As with al quarry, it should always be cleanly dispatched, with a head or heart & lung shot, just under the shoulder of the animal. Muzzle velocity is a significant factor (it only takes about 4lb of impact pressure to to penetrate a rabbits skull), Hares, particularly when fully grown are much bigger & have a stronger bone density. A shot at longer ranges simply isn't good practice. Even if well placed. The animal may be seriously wounded, but not cleanly killed. Hare's can also be shot year round, however it's considered un-sportman like to take a suckling Hare, (Normally during spring thro late summer). It's illegal to sell a Hare March thro Sept. Hare's are also classed as 'Game animals', not Vermin. 'Game Animal Species inc Game Birds' cannot be shot on Sundays or on Christmas day. These rules do not apply to Vermin, which can be shot anytime. Hope this helps. Quote Link to post
