Mine has nothing to do with them what so ever and never has she wont walk them walk with me clean them out or feed them and i dont really mind at all it's my bit of free time away from her and the house etc

Mine has nothing to do with the dogs, she doesn't mind them when I get them as 6 week old pups but soon gets sick of them and lets me get on with it. I've never had the 'dogs or me' thing but she gives the odd dig from time to time, such as 'you think more of them dogs than you do of me' etc etc lol, ignorance is bliss and all that...

 

Another thing is she doesn't like to get too attached to them as she knows I can leave for a days digging with one and come back without it, which has happened twice in the last 3 seasons...

The wife loves pups but knows she cant get attached to a working dog, she was heart broken when i had my old dog pts last yr and cried all the way to and from the vets

i dont care what any one says it must be hard .....................for any member of the family to loose a working dog whats been around and part of your life for years.............

and the sweat and guts its gave out to satisfy you..................through its working life .................just fills you with pride and good memories ................

and a big lump in your throat when there time has come..................a time to celerbrate a good dogs working life amonst friends........

Introduced me to my First proper Terrier..can look after them as good as any ..got it of her Mother

Only problem is she would prefer to keep any pups that come around..thinks they should all be kept..

ERM I think the photo says it all,my namesake after I retired her,the wife bought her a bed and she slept from 6 weeks old to 10 years inside the house even after a day in the country,she was the house pet as well as a working dog.The missus will at times clean the yard/kennells,feed them and on a very rare occasion walk some.She loves the lurchers and runing dogs but has not much time for the terriers.Shes come a long way since we met,I wouldnt have her out hunting though,THATS ME TIME
