For example my fella's a bodybuilder so goes to the gym 5 days a week and spends alot of money/time/effort/attention on the whole process of it, and im supportive of him because its his hobby/passion whatever you want to call it. So in return he supports me in what i do, its only fair really. 1 Quote Link to post

Wxm 1,638
my ex only came to stay on the weekends fri - mon and i was out sat night lamping and ferreting and shooting all sunday lol think she got pissed off with it and thats why she's gone. my missus now used to come out with me, lamping then due to curcumstances i had to part with the lurcher and everytime i say ahh think its time i had another she winges and sulks like a fkin kid, so think thats why i've stuck to my guns. she cant moan about anything from food / yapping / walking them / vet bills etc just reached a common ground others would say it was under the thumb had a barney with her the other morning as she was trying to brain wash my lads about how nasty it was to go out shooting and leaving baby rabbits and squirrals with out a mum or dad lol so i said if thats the case what about the pigglets that are crying when your munching on a daddy sausage lol :boogy: Quote Link to post

Zerky 133
Well about two weeks ago my misses, said that she had, had enough of the terriers. She was fed up of feeling that the dogs where more important than her, she was also pisst off that if I wasnt reading about terriers, on the phone about terriers or friends down talking about terriers I was out with the terriers. As im sure you can guess the out come, we have parted and she has moved out. Guess they will have even more attention now lol. 2 Quote Link to post
GOBSHITE 107
They get over it, it's getting one to stick around long enough to give up trying to change you. If you weren't built like a six year old boy downstairs she may have stuck it out lol. Things could be worse mate, you'll be ok your no fool, best of luck and keep smiling. 2 Quote Link to post

morton 5,368
My first wife gave me the oft used ultimatum, it me or the dogs,i bought her a one way ticket back to sunny Belfast, our lass now would never ask of me the same, she knows what an important part of my life they are,if push came to shove and the question was asked, the dogs would have to go,if it meant that much to her it would be a small sacrifice to make, a good dog is easy enough to find and train,i could,nt do with looking for another lass and training her up to my exacting standards. 3 Quote Link to post

Bosun11 537
I've had plenty of women in the past thinking they could change me... The dogs are still here, they are gone... the one thing i've always relied on when times have got tough with partners is my dogs, never understood the just had murder/splitting up with the Mrs and the dogs are goin type of bloke, the dogs are the one thing thats kept me sane in those times... As for my Mrs... I have nothing to worry about, she's as keen as me, except for the getting a bit too attached and forever wanting a Labrador bit but then I suppose you can't have it all.... Adam_Chuck 256
Have to say my mrs is very good with the dogs really loves them and has no probs mucking in and helping me walk, feed and clean them. Had her out ferreting and lamping a couple of times bit of a pain when it comes to climbing over stuff lol Quote Link to post
bird 9,949
my misses is ok with dogs, when friends or family or whatever are about its all our dogs soon as they need anything its sort 'your' dogs out! same here, keep lurchers really, but had a border once she liked him only because he was small lol. She is ok but (never) does feck all for my dogs (dont walk them, dont feed them, dont get the shit up) all iget is the above (your dogs ,your prob). The one time i had right go at the the fat fecker, i have bad back and it does play me up alot, I day it was really hurting me, i asked her to take my dogs for a walk ,she said (NO) her answer was if a strange dog came by them, and what if they wanted to fight it .I said take my stick just incase and tell the owner to keep there dog away. Still a (NO) she is a feckin waste of time so its either they dont go out or i would have to get a mate to pop down and walk them. when got a real bad back .!! Quote Link to post
