I want to buy a meat mincer and am looking at this one new for approx £35.

I intend to smash up the bigger bones with a hammer first but I would like to know if any of you guys have used this type before and what you think of it.

If you have any other suggestions feel free to comment.

Cheers guys,

Nik

I have a similar version to that one, Rabbiteer.

It will do the chicken carcasses and rabbits no problem, but it wont do the lamb ribs.

I just feed the lamb as is anyways.

I bought one a few weeks ago of a similar type but it was a clamp to a table version.

It busted after the first use on chicken leg bones. My father then bought home a £5 one from a second hand shop, really old it is but the quality of it is far superior and the part that broke on the new one is not even in the old one. I suggest you check out charity shops, antique shops and car boot sales and save a few bob.

Just get a small garden tree shredder.. .. they are pretty cheap and will smash just about anything up into a pulp..Molly has one and ive played with it few time's .. :D ..

All you need to do is chop the bunnies and other stuff into sensible sized bit's and freeze them as they block the shredder up eventually if put in raw..

Bunnies can be put in with the fur and skull's still attatched..

At the height of that " Bird Flu' " scam, some chicken farm decided the Shredder was a fine way to dispose of their thousands of condemned chickens.

It was actually deemed acceptable and no charges were brought ~ These being real, very much alive birds, just tossed in there :censored:

do your dogs not have any teeth

is that why you need to mince

:icon_eek::hmm:

A valid point.

However I am trying to make a 3 month stash of suitable best dog mince burgers. This is for my wife to feed my dog whilst I am in Iraq as she finds the raw food thing a bit of a bind when she is looking after my kids, dogs and ferrets.

So the easier I make it for her the better really.

But thanks again for enquiring about the dental fitness of my dog.

Kind regards,

Nik
