Guest long-tail
what sort of size would be common 22/23tts maybe, what type land do you run it on,are they injury prone because of their speed, good or bad feet generaly iv only ever seen two on the lamp, one picked up rabbits with ease and although i never witnessed it was told it would throw itself into foxes pre-ban like an animal possesed. the other was just to quick for its own good, flying about like a fecking missile with seemingly little regard as to where it was going speed certainly over brain power, only see it slipped twice the first was a miss the second was its last ever run. just interested in lads lamping with them and how they get on any pics and a bit about the dog would be great cheers Quote Link to post

bryson 562
i will be running one this season he is a year and a half old i have no doubt in my mind at all that hes going to make a great RABBITING dog but he would do other stuff giving the chance i think sometimes the desire to make the catch with this dog far outways his own health i have watched him smashing and i mean smashing straight on to fences and once a telegraph pole which to my amazment he got straight up and tryed to carry the course on he is a very exciting dog to watch run but it can also be very worrying at times as for there feet my dog is run in sheep pastures and golf courses so i carnt really comment because its all soft on the foot as for thin skin he has ripped himself twice on barbed wire but he totally miss judged the jump both time and he got himself hung up he will push in to the thickest of cover and he has never been torn that way imho i will not get a dog of the same breeding if the land i ran was any harsher but having said that i would never even consider getting rid of this little rabbit demon i have got Edited August 31, 2012 by bryson 1 Quote Link to post

whip x grey 276
tooo many whip /greys have been mated with ,,,speed in mind,,,and never feet,,in racing hopfully it,s starting to turn round with vet bills ,,,who knows,,,but should never be breed from unless they see veterans or old age or proven them self,s on unforgiving ground and not breed at 1yearold cos they showed promise but failed,, threw racing or hunting,,,this wont happen over night as for wind ,,,alittle sulki wont go a miss or collie pre ban pic off whip/grey,,2min+ course on golf course in ,s,,,when whip/greys ,,were just that 3/8th whip /8/5ths grey,,,hard ,,,needs a rocket to keep up lol as for 3/4 whip x 1/4 grey,,,i think probably best gross for rabbits,,,if they make 20 t0 22inch,,and ill stand by that weather there hardblood x ,,,,or kc x,,,they add that extra uoooph when needed Edited August 31, 2012 by whip x grey Quote Link to post
