precious 6
I have just done the same, had an escort for 2 years and fancied upgrading, did a lot of research and went for a browning maxus, and have not looked back, it's pretty light but even with big goose loads you get very little recoil, very easy to strip and clean and u can pick up a good second hand one for under £1000, there is a carbon version in the classified at the moment. I found it fitted me better than an extrema and I liked the fact it was a little different ( fore end a different design to most) oh and the speed load is fantastic, you just load from the bottom no fiddling around in the dark trying to put cartridges in :-) Quote Link to post

remi700 99
You wont go wrong with any fabarm auto. The best autos on the market in my opinion. They never jam and are real easy to strip and clean. If you want to spend big money the xlr5 is a lovely piece of kit. If not the older h368's or euro 3's are readily available on guntrader from around £300 and give no bother at all. Second choice would be Benelli. Atb Mark Quote Link to post

salop sniper 32
Benelli every time, so much better than gas guns..... Easier to clean, smaller more comfortable forend, 5 year warrenty where as others have 3 ! I have a M2 and its brillient, theres a good reason why the americans love this brand ! Pick one up and handle it, so comfortable and fits like a glove ! Quote Link to post

Yes mate a Benelli, the best without doubt, there are some good ones around to be fair but for ultra reliability, the inertia system cannot be beaten,I have an m1 and have ownwd it for 7 years now and it has NEVER jammed once. tomospants 3
thanks last going to be a benelli or sx3 Quote Link to post
PLEDGEY 496
thanks last going to be a benelli or sx3 They're a bit different, but both very good. Don't stress about it too much, which ever one you get you're going to be more than happy with. I praise the SX3 cause that's what i got. If i had bought a Benelli i would be praising that up. Try and handle both and get whichever feels the most comfortable......like trousers. Quote Link to post
optelic2 48
Ive owned a few semi auto's in the past including a benelli m2, beretta al391, remmi 1100 and an escort all in 12g. The best of the bunch for me was the '391'. Just about the right weight and length of pull as standard and it cycled every cart i put through it Edited September 2, 2012 by optelic2 Quote Link to post
