Big dogs, Small quarry..........

Recommended Posts

f**k all wrong with my heart, either physically or metorphorically ! I had a scare last year, but the quacks say I'm in perfect condition for my age, (60) !" I'm not sure what you're getting at, but I'll work my dogs this season, and hopefully get abroad for my usual hunting in different countries ! I've been invited to Oz , NZ and the Middle East, as well as plenty invites in this country. So don't you concern yourself with my health !

Cheers/

Some of the stuff you say don't ring true matey from past talking to genuine lad's..it may be wrong but i will never know till i walk the walk with you..i would gladly have a mooch out with you and even sort a night out if you are upto it.. .but you and the dog's will need to be fit and obeidient..

To quote a freind of mine...... I'd rather drink petrol and piss on a fire, than have anything to do with you !

Cheers.

this is very typical of the below the belt crap that is the scourge of hunting in all its forms. ive seen it in the field at shows in clubs/pubs. its never far away. where ever you see more than one h

Right, this ain't gonna go down well but here goes ........   To be honest Wodga, for a grown man to get on here out of the blue and just try and belittle an older man and his dogs is absolutely f**

I am not saying its gospel but I think that a big dog can do everything a little dog can do but not vice versa. A big dog will also dog the job faster and cleaner. As I said, just my own way of thin

Chart it was a good post, as said by many others A good big dog is always better than a big little one. Look at Bruce ;)

A grand old dog; now living in semi-retirement as a ferretting dog ! He was around 27" but proved his worth as a rabbit lamping dog !

Cheers.

It's quiet funny because from what I can see he was an all rounder of epic proportions. My father bought a book of eBay and had a diary in it, the cover was used as a diary. Turns out was ldrs and it was an interesting read to say none the least mate.

Well. there is only Danny or me can talk about "Bruce" on here, he was Danny's dog, and I had him in my kennel a few times. but it were Danny who worked him ! And a better "All rounder" I'Ve never seen ! The dog won the "Hunting Life Lamping Competion" twice, and was a grand dog day or night !

Cheerfs.

I think a good wee dog is better than a good big dog on the rabbits.

the differance for me is a big dog can turn its hand to a small dogs job and some can do it fairly well for their size but a small dog cant turn its hand as easily the other way!

If your big dog is a good one it will make its own opertunites on big stuff but a smaller dog needs luck to pull it off.
